I'm Musha. I'm based in Shelley, which sits right on the Kirklees side of the border, so Brighouse is barely a run up the road for me. It's that bit of West Yorkshire where Calderdale and Kirklees bump into each other, and it's about the closest run I do outside Huddersfield itself. Booking a DJ from the Huddersfield side means you get a full pro rig and a proper record bag without paying town-centre agency rates. Whatever the do in Brighouse, the plan's the same: turn up early, set up properly, and don't leave the floor empty.

Plenty of DJs round Brighouse open and close on the same chart-and-disco playlist. I'll play that when the room's asking for it, but where I really come into my own is the current chart and dance end of things, sat next to house, R&B, garage, hip-hop, disco and old school. That mix is what keeps a younger Brighouse crowd moving at a 21st without leaving the aunties and uncles sat down at the same wedding. Brighouse town centre is the heart of it, but I cover the whole patch around it: Rastrick just up the hill, Hipperholme and Lightcliffe out toward Halifax, Clifton, Bailiff Bridge, then Elland down toward the M62 and back over toward Huddersfield. A hotel function suite, a converted mill, a rugby or cricket club bar or a marquee out past the village edge, the gear travels and the sound fills the space either way.
