DJ Oldham

Oldham is the closest of my Manchester-side bookings, about forty five minutes from Shelley up the A62 and over into Saddleworth, and it's the one that made the rest of that corridor make sense as somewhere to actively cover rather than just accept if it came up. Weddings at the hill farms around Delph and Uppermill, big birthdays in the town's function rooms, always me running the night, own gear, 5.0 rated from 213 events played.

Saddleworth sits right on the road between Shelley and the rest of Greater Manchester, which is partly why Oldham was the first booking to pull me properly out of Kirklees. Forty five minutes, A62 most of the way, no motorway detour needed. It's close enough that the travel barely changes the quote, and familiar enough now, hill farms, market town function rooms, village halls, that I know what each type of room needs before I've even walked in.

Events I cover in Oldham

Music built for the room, not a set list

I don't turn up with one playlist and hope it fits. The base is current chart and dance, layered with house, R&B, garage, hip-hop, disco and old school depending on who's actually on the guest list. That's what keeps an 18th's younger crowd on the floor without losing the older relatives at the same event, and it's exactly the same principle whether the room is a hotel ballroom in Oldham or a converted barn up towards the moors.

Oldham, Saddleworth and the villages around them

Oldham town centre and Chadderton nearer the M60, then up into Saddleworth proper: Uppermill, Delph, Dobcross, Diggle and Grasscroft, with Denshaw and Springhead either side. It's one straightforward run up the A62 from Shelley, no motorway needed for most of it, which keeps travel simple and the quote predictable. If you've got a date and a venue anywhere in that stretch, message me and I'll tell you honestly if it works.

Venues I can cover around Oldham

Got a venue that's not on this list. Let me know the name and I'll plan the setup around it in advance, a hill farm and a hotel suite need different lighting and levels, and that's easier to sort before the day than on it.

What clients say

Facebook
"One of the best DJ sets I've probably been to. He knew how to include all age groups and there wasn't a single minute nobody was on the dance floor. Definitely would recommend for any party. Thank you for an amazing night!"

DJ Oldham FAQs

How far is Oldham from where you're based?

About forty five minutes from Shelley along the A62 and A669, closer than Manchester or Stockport. Saddleworth in particular sits right on that route, so it's one of the more straightforward Manchester-side jobs I take.

What's a DJ going to cost for a wedding in Oldham?

That depends on your date, the hours booked and the venue. Send the details over on WhatsApp and I'll have a fixed quote back to you within 24 hours, no obligation.

Do you cover Saddleworth as well as Oldham town?

Yes, regularly. Uppermill, Delph, Diggle and Dobcross are all on the same run out from Shelley as Oldham itself, so there's no extra travel charge for being up in the villages.

What equipment do you bring?

A full professional sound and lighting rig, plus a wireless mic for speeches and announcements. I set it up, run it and pack it down myself, so there's one point of contact from booking to the last song.
