Short notice · Huddersfield & Kirklees
Been let down by a DJ? Party crept up on you? If the date's free, I can step in with full sound and lighting, and a short-notice night runs exactly like a planned one.
Every few weeks someone in one of the Huddersfield community groups posts the same message: "our DJ's cancelled, the party's on Saturday, can anyone help?" If that's you, take a breath. It's usually fixable.
I'm Mason, a mobile DJ based in Shelley, on the HD8 side of Huddersfield. Because everything I need for a night, the sound system, the lights, the lot, travels in one van, a short-notice booking is no harder for me than one planned six months out. If the date's free, I can be at a venue in Huddersfield, Holmfirth, the Holme Valley or anywhere across Kirklees with time to spare.
Being let down shouldn't cost you extra. Parties from £200, weddings from £500, same as always, depending on hours, the venue and the date. Village halls, working men's clubs, marquees, function rooms and living rooms all welcome.
Based in Shelley, so Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Honley, Meltham, Kirkburton and Denby Dale are on my doorstep, with Brighouse, Halifax, Dewsbury, Mirfield and Wakefield an easy run. Further afield is often possible too, just ask.
Often, yes. If the date is free I can take bookings at days' notice, sometimes less, anywhere around Huddersfield and Kirklees. The quickest way to find out is to call with your date.
If the date's free I can step in with full sound and lighting, take your must-plays over the phone, and turn up set to go. Weekend dates do get booked ahead, so call as soon as you know.
No. Short-notice bookings are priced the same as planned ones: parties from £200, weddings from £500. You're not charged extra for being let down.
The date and times, the venue or postcode, a rough guest count and any must-plays. One phone call covers it, and it's confirmed the same day.
